Subject: Regarding the poor condition of roads in the city.
Sir,
Through the "Letters to the Editor" column of your popular daily, I wish to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to a serious problem in our city. Kindly publish this letter.
After the monsoon, the main roads in our Shivajinagar area are in a very bad state. There are big potholes everywhere. When rainwater collects, the potholes cannot be seen, and two-wheeler riders slip and fall. School children, senior citizens and ambulances face great trouble on these roads. The dust is also affecting the health of people living nearby.
Citizens expect the Municipal Corporation to repair these roads at the earliest, to use good-quality material when filling the potholes, and to make proper arrangements for rainwater to drain away. I am confident that if this problem is raised in your newspaper, quick action will follow.
Yours faithfully,
